Will Kenworthy Obituary

Will Kenworthy, 64, of Baker City, passed away from natural causes December 26, 2023 after a battle with cancer at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise, ID.  A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 - 2:00 p.m. at the North Powder Cemetery.  Friends are invited to join the family immediately following (place for the reception will be announced at a later date)

Will was born on August 21, 1959 at a military hospital in Fort Bragg, NC.  He attended grade school in Germany and Fort Louis.  Will graduated High School in Baker City, OR in 1977, then went on to graduate from Eastern Oregon University where he later became an educator. 

Will owned and operated “Will Kenworthy Contracting” which specialized in audio/video and phone installations.  

Will’s passion was making music.  He was talented at building guitars and guitar pedals. Notably, Will was the first violinist in the Grande Ronde Symphony.  He loved studying science, philosophy, history and technology. Will would say, “don’t ever let anyone know what you are thinking”.  He will be remembered for educating and inspiring subsequent generations enabling them to lead successful lives and continue the relentless pursuit of knowledge.

Will was preceded in death by his father Merle Kenworthy.

He is survived by his mother Margot Kenworthy; son Will Kenworthy; daughters Lori, Jennifer, Michelle Kenworthy;  brother Richard Kenworthy; 6 grandchildren; and loyal canine companion Riley.
