Wendy Marks

Wendy Lynn Marks went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on December

1, 2022 at her ranch home in Richland, Oregon. She was 57. She was deeply loved by her family and countless others.Wendy was born on November 10, 1965 in Yreka, CA. Her grade school years were spent in Sutherlin, Oregon. At an early age, she acquired a love for horses and the ranch life. Wendy graduated from high school in Paisley, Oregon, where she played on the volleyball and basketball teams. It was in Paisley, that she met the love her life, Kurt Marks. They were married there, August 27, 1983.

Wendy and Kurt had always dreamed of giving their family a lifestyle of living in the country and ranching. That dream became a reality when Kurt landed a job in Richland, working for the Oregon State Road Department, and they were able to buy their place on Powder River Road where they raised their five children.

Wendy had many talents and abilities, and was not afraid to learn just about anything. She loved being out driving tractor, working cattle, spending time with her horses, making soap, quilting, leather working, cooking, fishing, and of course spending ]me with her five grandchildren (and one on the way), and just being with her family, and friends.

The Mark’s doors were always open to guests who might come by unannounced, and she always had a welcoming smile and an extra plate of great-tasting food. Wendy touched the lives and was a dear friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held, 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Richland Chrisitian Church, 117 Second St., Richland, Oregon. Friends are invited to join the family for a potluck to be held immediately following the service at the church.
