Terrence “Terry” Ley, 78, formerly of Baker City, died on August 30, 2025 at his home in Prineville, Oregon. Military Honors will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery on Thursday, September 18, 2025 - 1:00 p.m.
Terry was born on February 21, 1947 in Portland, Oregon to Dick and Wynette (Davis) Ley. He attended school in Portland, graduating from Madison High in 1965. He served in the US Army from 1967 to 1969. During his life he played pro ball for the New York Yankee’s for 8 years. After his baseball career, he became a realtor. Terry enjoyed “spreading the word” – being with friends, fishing golfing and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dick and Wynette Ley; brother Darrell Ley (2002) and T-ball, the wonder dog.
