Teddy Dickens, 76, was born on May 9, 1948 in North East, Maryland to Arthur and Edna (Hammons) Dickens. Ted was raised and educated in Mount Vernon, graduating from high school in 1969. He went on to beauty school and became a hair stylist.
Ted enjoyed playing Bingo, his favorite color was blue, he loved roses, petunias and SPRING. He said he would most like to be remembered for being "Open Minded."
He was preceded in death by his parents. Ted is survived by his sisters Barbara Palmer of Mount Vernon, Carolyn Lenz of John Day and Linda McCumber of Mount Vernon; brother Wayne Dickens and Elmer Dickens both of Mount Vernon; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside interment will be held at Moon Creek Cemetery, May 9, 2025 at 11 a.m. where Teddy is to be buried with his mother. Online condolences may be shared at www.tamispinevalleyfuneralhome.com
