Stephen Ray Stoaks was born on October 30, 1958 in Baker City, OR. He was raised and educated in Baker City until around 1979 when he dropped out of school to join the National Guard Reserve and moved to Sarasota, Florida.
Steve met Frances Dickson when she moved to Baker when she was 12 years old. They reconnected later in life and were married on April 11th, 1997 in Payette, ID.
As a teen, Steve worked for the Eltrym Theater. He later took a job driving truck for Circle K. He had various jobs from working for the school district to Gas & Snack until his retirement. During his “retirement” he had worked for a local farmer driving truck and for Pizza Hut as a delivery driver.
Steve’s favorite color was blue. He enjoyed driving, spending time with his family, reading and watching movies, especially westerns. He adored being in the outdoors and going camping. Many of the best recollections of Steve come from those memorable camping trips.
