Sherry Bogen

Sherry Bogen, 78, formerly of Richland, Oregon died on Friday, August 2, 2024 in Bandon, Oregon. A Singsparation will be held in Sherry’s honor on Sunday, August 18, 2024 – 6:30 at the Eagle Valley Community Church previously known as the Methodist Church in Richland, Oregon.

Sherry was born on July 10, 1946 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene, Oregon.  The family lived In Drain, Oregon until Sherry was in the 8th Grade, then the family moved to Roseburg, Oregon. Sherry graduated from Roseburg High School in 1964. 

She met her future husband David Henry at Boise Bible College.  They were married on June 17, 1965.  They had two children, Scott and Shelley.

Sherry was a stay-at-home Mom for the first 20 years of her marriage.  She then worked at Corporate Jets in Scottsdale, Arizona for 14 years.  She then managed apartments in Phoenix, Arizona and then Portland for about 20 years.

Sherry enjoyed being a wife, mother, friend, growing and loving my Lord more and more. Sherry also enjoyed working with young people, "and Music –she had an amazingly beautiful singing voice and enjoyed singing in choirs and ensembles."

She treasured writings of her daughter and wonderful young writings of her deaf son. 

Sherry is survived by her son Scott Eugene Henry of Devil's Lake, North Dakota; daughter Shelley Lee Henry of Bandon, Oregon; brothers Larry, Michael and Stephen Bogen.
