Obituary

Samuel "Sam" Housden,  75, of Richland, died on Friday, May 6, 2022 at his cousin Judy and Don North's residence where he has lived these last 8 years.

Samuel Lee Housden was born on March 6, 1947 to Gene and Ila (Heller) Housden in Hermiston, Oregon.  He was raised in Hermiston and graduated high school there.  Sam married Jackie and together they had a daughter.

Sam served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Germany. Sam’s  favorite sports team was every football, baseball, racing, basketball..if there was a game on he cheered on every team and player.  He was lovingly referred to and enjoyed being called “Sam I am” and his favorite saying “where’s my ice cream? Coffee? Or any sweet?

During his life he distributed magazines and books for ProLogix.  He enjoyed fishing,  playing the slot, family game time, loved taking care of the chickens and gathering eggs.  He would most want to be remembered as always smiling and always happy.
