Ron Edwards, 90, formerly of Baker City, died at his home with his daughter Fran at his side on Thursday, February 13th, 2025 in Richland, Oregon.
Ronald J. Edwards was born in Baker, Oregon on October 1st, 1934 to Lola Warnock and Jess Edwards. Ron was raised in Baker and attended school there. After graduation Ron married Barbara Wyckoff then moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where Ron served two years in the Navy.
Upon returning to Baker, they raised three children, Ron Jr., Francine and Brenda.
Ron had various careers until purchasing the Baker Bowl, which he and Barbara ran for many years. Ron loved the bowling lanes, which was well suited to his outgoing nature and charismatic personality.
After retiring from the bowling lanes, Ron moved to Richland with his second wife, Patricia Burke. There, they enjoyed the "Good Life", spending time boating, fishing and camping on the Snake River. Ron was always mechanically inclined and tinkered throughout his life. He was also good natured and quick with a joke. Ron will be forever missed by all his family and friends.
For those who would like to make a donation in memory of Ron, the family suggests either Heart n’ Home Hospice, the Eagle Valley Grange or the Eagle Valley Fire Department through Tami’s Pine Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PO Box 543, Halfway, OR 97834.
