Roger Davis Obituary

Roger Davis, 76, formerly of Roseburg, Oregon died on March 27, 2020 at Settler's Park Assisted Living Center in Baker City.  Roger's request was to not have a service but to be laid to rest at the Roseburg Veteran's Cemetery. 

Roger was born on August 30, 1943 in Sacramento, California.  He and his mother moved to Roseburg, Oregon where he attended Benson Grade School, Joseph Lane Jr. High and graduated from Roseburg High School.  Following graduation he enlisted in the US Army, serving from 1962 to 1965. 

He then went to work for Douglas Lumber, Roseburg Lumber and Wey.  He lived his early years in Roseburg, then Astoria, Hillsboro and then to Baker City.  Roger enjoyed collecting sports cards and old bottles. His favorite color was blue and he enjoyed spending time with his dogs "Lucy & Ziggy."  Memorable times in his life included marrying his wife Margaret "Peg" and buying a house.  He was a good, loyal man who loved his family.  During these last few years when he was unable to communicate he had a cute way of moving his little finger.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ellen.

Roger is survived by his wife Margaret "Peg" of Sumpter, daughters Monica and husband Brad of Hillsboro, OR, Carie of Sumpter, OR and Becky of Washington State; son Billy Davis;  3 grandchildren; brother Larry Snyder of Roseburg, OR.; sister Blanche of Sutherlin, OR; nephews Shane White and his wife Micki, Chad Snyder and his wife Stephanie; Ethan Snyder; Zane and his fiance'.
