Roger Burk

Roger Raymond Burk, 91, of Richland, Oregon, passed away peacefully in his home October 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Roger, son of Edward Burk Sr. and Alvina (Friedl),  was born May 27, 1932, on the family farm in Gleason, Wisconsin.

Roger proudly served in the United States Marine Corp for 20 years.  His military associations were a significant part of his life, and he exemplified dedication and discipline throughout his service.  He was stationed at the US Embassy Jakarta, Indonesia, for four years, served two tours of duty in Vietnam and was stationed at Marine Corp Air Station Tustin, California when he retired.

Beyond his military career, Roger was an avid golfer making many friends as he traveled the world.  Having spent his later years with his wife on her farm in Richland, Oregon.

Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Lucille and their daughter, Roxanna; daughter’s Kim and Teri with his first wife Sara and his many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Roger will be deeply missed by his family and friends and was truly loved by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
