Ralph Davis

Ralph Davis, 82, of John Day, died on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Valley View Assisted Living. 

Ralph Jay Davis was born on February 10, 1940 in Enterprise Oregon to Cleo Cleve and Thelma (Flanary) Davis. The family later moved to Bates, then Lyons, Oregon, Prineville and then settled in John Day.   He attended Enterprise Grade School, Prairie City High School and graduated from Mill City High School.  He met his future bride, Juanita Davis in High School.  They married in 1958 and together had two children Douglas John and Anita Louise.   

Ralph worked as a mechanic his entire life.  He enjoyed working on and restoring old cars, hunting, fishing and spending time with his lil dog Freddie.  He belonged to the Eagles in Mill City Oregon, Elks in John Day. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Vernon Davis.

Ralph is survived by his daughter Anita L. Johnson and husband Edward S.; son Douglas J. Davis and wife Verlene L.; sister Marilyn Davis; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
