Josephine "Pooky" Chamlee, 88, died on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Legacy Living in Elgin, Oregon.
Mike and Priscilla met in San Luis Obispo County, California in 1972 and married shortly after they met. Happily Married for 53 years. They both lived and worked at a Christian commune in San Luis Obispo County for 16 years as elders of the commune (Christian ministry). Priscilla, had many responsibilities. Lived at the commune and helped the many troubled homeless that passed through. She did Bible study, intercessor prayer and counselor for many troubled individuals. She was a counselor for Jesus Christ. She helped many people to get their lives back on track so they could live on their own independently again. Priscilla was a beacon of hope to many, spreading the love of Jesus to everyone who passed through the commune and to everyone she knew. A Bible verse she would share often, Romans:12: 1-2, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
They moved to La Grande, Oregon in 1993, where she worked with woman's aglow ministry, she also worked with recovering alcohol and drug addicts through HAD a Christian support group in La Grande.
Priscilla's most favorite thing was to worship Jesus. Her legacy was, she lived a breathed our savior Jesus Christ. Mike, family, and friends find much comfort in knowing she is with the love of her life, Jesus Christ and one day they will all be together again.
