Nicole Kerri Morris, 34, of Baker City, passed away on November 13, 2023 in Vale, OR. A celebration of life will be held next summer (date, time, place) to be announced.
Nikki was born on October 8, 1989 in Baker City, OR to parents Jerry and Lisa Morris. She was raised and educated in Baker City where she graduated a year early in 2006 from Union Baker ESD. As a child she loved the color pink, putting on make-up, doing nails, and playing kick the can with her siblings.
Nikki was a skilled cake decorator and flower arrangement designer. She also enjoyed interior decorating and organizing spaces. She especially loved fashion, fake tans, and simply feeling pretty. Owl, elephant, and butterfly tattoos adorned her arms as daily symbolic reminders of new beginnings, courage, wisdom and change.
Nikki had a great sense of humor, and loved to make people laugh. She would put on a memorable expression that consisted of her flaring her nostrils and sticking her hand out with her pinky up. Her children and family knew this as “The Bug Call”.
Nikki’s greatest love in life was her children. She was proud of their each and every accomplishment. For them, she made a big deal out of everything-from birthdays, to school awards. She would say, “I love you to the moon and back”. Nikki’s children were the best and proudest extensions of herself.
Throughout Nikki’s life, she struggled with addiction. She had a huge heart and always sought to help those in need. Her addiction did not define her, as she was so much more. A mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a beautiful person inside and out.
Nikki was preceded in death by her father Jerry Morris and uncle Steve Morris.
She is survived by her children and legacy Xavier Sanchez, Sean Atkinson, Danica and Isabelle Dougharity; mother Lisa Morris; sister Sage Morris; brothers Chatz Rath, Cody and Cole Morris; many nieces and nephews.
