Nancy Polvi, 84, passed away on November 23, 2025 at Settlers Park Senior Living in Baker City. A Reception to Celebrate Nancy's Life will be held on April 25, 2026 - 2:00 p.m. at the Christian Church in Baker City. (675 OR-7, Baker City, OR 97814)
Nancy was born on October 6, 1941 in LaGrande, Oregon to parents Carl and Mildred Byron. She was the second of four children. Nancy and her siblings were raised in Baker City. She graduated from Baker High School. Nancy remained in her hometown Baker City to raise her 3 children, Tamra, Tim and Randy.
Nancy had a career in Banking. Starting as a teller at the Benjamin Franklin Bank and later being promoted to manager. She moved to Walla Walla with her husband Al Polvi. After he passed away in 2005, she returned to Baker City where she spent the remainder of her years. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, cherishing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to yard sales and spending time with her dear friends. She loved decorating her home for all seasons. She planted beautiful flowers every summer. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, she decorated her home, inside and out with wonderful Christmas lights and decorations. She always had the most beautiful Christmas tree!
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mildred Byron, husband Al Polvi, and brother Larry Byron.
Nancy is survived by her loving children, Tamra Bivens (Bert), Tim Simrell (Stephanie) and Randy Simrell (Dana). Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sister, Caron Williamson (Jim) and brother Norval Byron (Margaret).
