Written by her brother Ed:
Hello to all.
Nancy Leigh Adamson
Nancy L Adamson jumped off this mortal coil after a long, tortuous battle with Cancer on December 31, 2025. She brought joy and love to her family and friends. Nancy was able to seek solace and love through her faith and confidence in the Christ. She is off to Heaven with her Mom, brother, friends, and loving father.
Nancy was born in Spokane, Washington. Her Father, James S. Adamson, secured a great job in Great Falls, Montana with Phillips Petroleum as a broker in Asphalt and lubricants. Mary C. Adamson, Mother, was a homemaker with seven children in the house, plus her husband’s mother and sisters on occasion. Mom was able to integrate work as a cartographic / Kelch technician with the Forest Service, retiring with 26 years of service, while raising this extended family. Nancy made this possible, raising her young brother, Baird, coordinating a busy household, devotedly taking care of her siblings and father, while serving as cook, counselor, school tutor, and confidant.
Nancy was director of Sacred Heart Retreat House, Colorado Springs. She helped with Retreats, coordinated with Clergy members, church groups, and the faithful. Her service earned the respect of the Archdiocese of Denver and a commendation from the Archbishop.
Nancy was a pom pom girl and cheerleader for our small Catholic high school, St. Joseph’s High in Denver Colorado, the Bulldogs. She loved our School athletic teams. She loved to fish and get out into the wilds. Many a lovely afternoon was spent trolling for Bass and Panfish on Montana lakes and rivers with her brother, Ed. She was an excellent cook. Her specialty was Cajun / Louisiana cuisine to the delight of all.
She was much loved by her brother, warts and all. Her love helped me through life’s pitfalls and struggles in our High School years and beyond. She taught me how to tie a tie, dance the Frug, to sing on key, how to set the hook on a Blue Gill, and how to talk to a girl. So much love to echo down the years forever.
She has left a gap in many lives, inclusive of this old reprobate. Heaven will be a richer place with her vibrant smile, goofy puns, and strong faith in our God and Jesus Christ. Her brothers will miss her love and wonderful stories. El Dorko will miss her hot biscuits, big Perch, and teaching me to dance, oh, so long ago.
I’m a Bulldog Born and a Bulldog Bred
So when I die I’ll be a Bulldog Dead
So it’s Rah Rah for St. Joe High, Rah Rah for St. Joe High, Rah Rah for St. Joe High
May Love and Peace grace your flight to be with Mom, Dad, Brother Bill, and your fellow Bulldogs in the embrace of a loving God.
