Michelle Addleman Obituary

Michelle Addleman, 55, of North Powder, died Sunday, March 15, 2020 at home surrounded by her family after a brave battle with cancer.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date, time and place to be announced.

Michelle was born June 2, 1964 in Roseburg, OR to parents Loren and Marilyn McCaslin, joining her brother Mark.  Michelle grew up in Milwaukie, OR and graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1982.

Michelle met Thomas Addleman on a blind date set up by her friends.  They were married September 8, 1984.

Michelle worked for the United States Post Office delivering mail, rain or shine, for 25 years. She lived in Parkrose, Gresham, and North Powder, OR.

Michelle loved all things horses, particularly when it came to the breaking and training aspects.  This love led her to help create a horse group with those who shared her passion.

She also enjoyed gardening, daffodils and tulips, baking (especially with grandchildren) and spending time with her family.  She was a gentle soul who never complained.  An Irish Proverb that Michelle cherished so much so, that it hung on a plaque in her home simply states,” Do not resent growing old, many are denied the privilege”.

Michelle was preceded in death by her parents Loren and Marilyn McCaslin and her faithful dog Jed.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years Thomas Addleman; son Hunter (Jessica) of Troutdale, Or; daughters Aubrey Addleman (Ethan Reidy) of Baker City, OR, Kelly Addleman of Baker City, OR.; brother Mark (Dixie) of Portland, OR; beloved grandchildren Amelia, Emma, Baron and Mia; numerous nieces, nephews, and many in-laws.

For those who would like to make a donation in memory of Michelle the family suggests St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital through Tami’s Pine Valley Funeral Home and Cremation Services PO Box 543 Halfway, Oregon 97834. Online condolences can be shared at www.tamispinevalleyfuneralhome.com
