Michael Baisley, 74, formerly of Baker City, died on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in Bend, Oregon. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Baker City, Oregon on Friday, May 30, 2025 - 2:00 p.m. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception to be held immediately following at the Community Connection Senior Center Hall at 2810 Cedar Street in Baker City.
Michael Thomas Baisley was born on May 10, 1951 in Baker, Oregon. Mike attended 1st grade in Unity, Oregon, followed by Brooklyn Elementary in Baker City. He graduated from Baker High School in 1970. Mike was a member of the Cub Scouts, FFA and 4H.
Mike worked as a lineman in communications from1978 to 2023. During his working career, he worked many places including for NW Bell, US West, Qwest, Century Link and Lumen Lineman.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. Mike loved family gatherings and was always ready with a quick smile and witty remarks. When it came to trivia or recalling information about movies or music he was the man to go to.
Mike served with the US Navy from 1971 to 1977.
He was preceded by his grandparents Roy and Molly Taylor; Marvin and Gussie Baisley; parents Vern and Sue Baisley; sister Marlinda Baisley.
Mike is survived by his son Jeremiah (Missy) Baisley of Spring Creek, Nevada; grandchildren Kaylee and Myah; sisters Diana (Paul ) York, Gladys (Kim) Lethlean, Sami (Dennis) Walton.
