Margarete "Marge" Brittain

Margarete Eloise Anderson Brittain, 94,  was born on July 12, 1929 and passed away on May 12, 2024. Her burial was held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Baker City, Oregon.

Along the way she lived in various States until her family moved to Alaska in 1959.  her life she was active in state and national politics.  She homestead in Alaska, and was instrumental in making a community well, putting together a volunteer fire department, updating a community hall and in conjunction with her husband, a high school for the homestead community. In later years she chose to retire in Baker City, Oregon.

Preceding her in passing were her parents, five siblings, husband and daughter Christine. 

She is survived by her sister Mary Alcorn, son Steven, daughter Doris and 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
