Written by Lynne's friends Lars & Kathy:
How do we begin to tell you about Lynne, our newest friend we met just last year?
Firstly, we are REALLY glad we did get to meet her. We met her at Judy and Shorty’s house, and right from the beginning, she was a joy. She was comfortable to be with and easy to talk to. Her creativity in her crafts, gardening and cooking, as well as a new-found business streak in selling some of her crafts, was delightful to witness. Lynne often told us what she was cooking for dinner that evening and we would ask her to text a picture to show us her newest creation...tasty looking, colorful, healthy, with a “5 star restaurant” quality to them. Lynne also appreciated others’ creativity; Kathy always loved Lynne's enjoyment of her paintings. She also was courageous; Lynne allowed Kathy to trim and shape Lynne's beautiful hair, Kathy muses that Lynne could see how much Kathy wanted to do it.
Our conversations with Mike and Lynne were great talks and showed us how both of them were so grounded in reality, common sense, and the natural world. We were truly appreciative that they both opened up and shared the loss of their lovely daughter, Rhiannon. Our hearts bled for them hearing of their tragedy. As time went on, many of the conversations we had with Lynne were about her daughter and what a gift she had been to both Mike and herself. We were very impressed at how alive she kept her daughter in her.
We will miss Lynne very much and the world is a more empty, colder place without her. We so wanted to visit with her in the years to come. But, Lynne is with Rhiannon now. And, they are both looking down at Mike and trying to reach through the fog of this world to encourage and support him with all the love they have for him.
