Former Baker City resident, Larry Auld, passed away on April 10, 2-23 at his home in Fort Mohave, Arizona. He was 88.
Larry was born on April 5, 1935 to Violet and Edward Auld in Cascade
Locks, Oregon. He graduated from Benson Polytechic High School in 1954. In 1957 he married Margaret Heaton of Bates, Oregon.
Although Larry’s trade of choice was auto mechanic, he was not afraid to try other occupations such as high school auto shop teacher and logging with the in-laws. He became an ordained minister in 1989. Larry was the owner of Larry’s Garage in Baker City for several years before getting an RV and exploring the southwest in the winters. Eventually, he and Margaret moved from Baker City to Fort Mohave, Arizona in 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gordon Auld and sister Carol.
Larry is survived by his wife of 66 years Margaret, son Paul (April) Auld of Hermiston, Oregon; sister Jo-Leen (Jay) Byers of Cokeville, Wyoming; two grandsons and 5 great grandchildren.; several nieces and nephews whom he enjoyed for many years.
