In honor and loving memory of my dad, Ken Knox, “a force to recon with”. He passed away on January 1, 2025 from the end states of prostate cancer and of a broken heart from losing the love of his life “Sweet June” – who passed away August 31, 2024. They were married for 62 years. They met at the Driftwood Restaurant and Lounge in Springfield, Oregon. June asked Ken to dance, in her tight cashmere sweater. Ken knew right then he was going to marry her. 13 days later they married. Ken loved his family, horses, Harleys and logging. He worked at Pope and Talbot logging in Oakridge, and they had their son Marty. Ken sold cars for many years and that took the family to Boise, Idaho where they had their daughter Shelley. From there Ken joined the union which brought him to work on the Hells Canyon Dam in 1965, which led to taking up roots in “God’s Country” Halfway, Oregon. The only living family members are daughters Shelley Knox of Springfield, Oregon and Debbie Fisher of Venita. I, Shelley will miss you forever Mom, Dad and brother Marty, but someday I will see you again in Heaven. A Graveside Interment at Pine Haven Cemetery will be held this spring (date and time to be announced.) Online condolences may be shared at www.tamispinevalleyfuneralhome.com
