Judith Scott, 69, of Baker City, died on May 16, 2025 with her family at her side.
Judith “Judy” LaNell Scott was born on March 9, 1956 in Santa Monica, California. She was raised in Porterville, California and graduated from Porterville High in 1974.
Judy married Edward Williams on March 26, 1977. They had two children, daughters LaNell and Krystal. They later divorced. She then married Jim Scott on December 12, 2006.
Judy worked at the Lindsey Olive Plant in Lindsey, CA. She was later employed at D & B Supply and Ace Hardware in Baker City, Oregon.
Her favorite holidays were Halloween and Christmas, but spring was Judy’s favorite season as both of the flowers she was fondest of; Bleeding Hearts and Tulips, were in bloom. She loved watching Christmas movies, cooking, crocheting and the color blue. She adored going to the cabin, camping, riding 4-wheelers, driving the 4x4, and watching sunrises and sunsets. She liked visiting the Oregon Coast and watching the Ocean. She loved hummingbirds, summer rain and watching lightning storms on the porch.
Judy enjoyed visiting with her family. She loved to say, “I do what I want!” and “Love you too!” Her greatest accomplishments were her daughters. She will be remembered for the love, strength and kindness she brought into this world.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Donald Baker and Virginia Cornelius(Mayberry); sister DeAnna Pipkin; brothers Donald Jackson and David O’Neil.
She is survived by her daughters LaNell (Denise) Carr, Krystal Williams; brothers William Baker, Miles Cornelius, and Shawn O’Neil; sisters Cheryle Tucker (Baker), Theresa Baker, Vicky Baker and Virginia Vaughn; grandchildren Ashley, Michael, Matthew, Sydney, Graysen, Paiten, Emersyn, Logan, Jaelyn, Allyssa, Gavin, Connor, Liam; great grandchildren Emmalynn and Delanie; her beloved sweet dog Boo Bear.
