John Harrington, 25, of Pendleton, Oregon tragically died the morning of December 8, 2024 when a semi-truck veered off interstate I84 struck him and a friend. John was the loving son Margherita Del Curto and Thomas Harrington and brother to Amanda.
Born in Portland, Oregon moving to Madras into Crescent City, California, Hermiston, Oregon then Pendleton, Oregon. Graduating from Baker Web Academy and leaving his mark and memory at every location.
John was known for his big hugs and a heart of gold. Always sharing a big smile and unforgettable laugh. He would give the shirt off of his back in the coldest of days. He was often referred to as a big goof ball. John’s love for food led him to become a cook where he worked at Wildhorse, then Shari’s restaurant until it closed.
John was in the process of signing up for further schooling and a career change. He was preceded in death by his great grandfather John Randall; great grandparents Lawrence and Elba Del Curto; grandfather Lorenzo Del Curto and many loved ones.
John is survived by his parents Margherita Del Curto and Thomas Harrington; sister Amanda, nephew Robby; grandparents Arbie and Judy Booker; great grandmother Dorothy Randall; many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephew.
John was taken away too soon and will always be greatly missed and forever greatly loved. There will be a graveside service for family and friends on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Eagle Valley Cemetery in Richland, Oregon.
