Gail Hatch

Gail Hatch, 74, of La Grande, OR, died Monday, August 21, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.  A celebration of life will be held on September 16, 2023~1:30 p.m. at Island City Hall (10605 Island Ave, Island City, OR).

Gail was born March 12, 1949 in San Francisco, CA. She was raised in La Grande, OR and graduated from La Grande High School in 1967.

A memorable date in Gail’s life was when she met Charley Hatch at a dance. They were married on December 18, 1974, in Winnemucca, Nevada.

Gail’s favorite things included reading, spring flowers, coaching her kid’s softball teams, and her special pet “Big Bertha”.

Her life philosophy was to always believe in your children and that you always have a choice.  Gail will fondly be remembered for the love she had for her family.

Gail was preceded in death by her son Kevin Browning, grandson Kristopher Browning Parents Robert Kohler and June Kohler, sister Carrie Black and brother Robert Kohler.

She is survived by her husband Charley Hatch; daughters Shari Peterson ( Bill), Terrie Tandy, Rachel Warren ( Stuart), and Mary Stevens (Brett)and son Chas Hatch; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters Vicki Fleshman, Chris Farrar, Dyann Holman.
