Donna Phillips Armon, 66, from Lostine died at Wallowa hospital on July 4, 2023, from cancer. Donna was born on August 10, 1956, to Geraldine Phillips and Billy Dawn in Rising Star, Texas. Her mother later remarried Frank Eckel of Wallowa. The couple had a blended family of six children: Frank Eckel from Wallowa, Carolyn Eckel Vandenburgh from Imbler, Phyllis Eckel from Wallowa, Mickey Fox, and Joann Fox.
Donna worked as a homemaker and at the hospital in Enterprise for many years. Donna was an amazing cook. She loved to work in her flower beds, and loved to draw and work on her bead art. She is survived by her children; Leanna Gordon of Orofino, Idaho, Tom Kludt of Pendleton, Timothy McRae; and Amy Armon Rasmussen and husband Tyson from Pendleton, her stepchildren; Beckey Armon Oldaker and husband Michael from West Virginia, Patty Armon Cook and husband Bob from Portland Oregon, and Francine Armon Zerbel and husband Ron from Elgin, her sister Phyllis, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her sisters Carolyn and Joann, brothers Frank and Mickey, both of her parents.
