Diana Lantz

Diana Lantz, 70, of La Grande, Oregon died at her home on February 28, 2023.   There will be a memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in La Grande on April 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.  A Zoom link will also be available.

Diana Sue was born on December 17, 1952 in La Grande,Oregon to Richard and Thelma Ansell. The family moved to Bend, Oregon in 1962 and she later attended Bend Senior High School. She married Albert Rico on July 23, 1970 in Bend, Oregon. They had two children Tracy and Todd.  They divorced in 1987.  She worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses in Bend until she moved to Newport in 1988.

Diana married Robert Lantz on November 2, 1991 in Newport, Oregon and  they blended their families, adding Robert’s children Beckie, Jaimie and Micah.   She worked as a legal assistant/bookkeeper for Minor, Beeson and Boone from 1988 to 2013.  Diana and Robert moved to La Grande in 2013. 

She loved animals, but her favorite were horses. She was an exceptional artist and enjoyed drawing, painting and her study of the Bible. A scripture Diana especially enjoyed was Romans 12:18 – As far as it depends upon you, be peaceable with all men. Diana was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on August 4, 1967, and enjoyed sharing her hope of living in a paradise earth with others.

She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Koby Albrecht.

Diana is survived by her husband Robert; daughters Tracy Rico-Galindo (Hana) of Aloha, OR; Beckie (James) Gwynn of Baker City, OR; sons Jaimie (Val) Lantz of Portland, OR; Todd Rico of Aloha, OR; Micah (Andrea) Lantz of Dallas, OR; grandchildren Hi’ilei and Ta'lia; Sister Linda (James) Albrecht of La Grande, OR
