David Terry

David R. Terry, 80, was born in Beaverton, Oregon.  David served in the United States Navy.  He stayed in Rhode Island for over 40 years.  David earned a Master’s degree in Education from Rhode Island College and taught graphic arts.  He dabbled in real estate and owned a printing company. 

David is survived by his brother Frank “Bud” Terry and his wife Jana of Baker City, Oregon; sister Nancy Burgoyne of Grants Pass, Oregon; son Timothy E. Terry of Austin, Texas and his daughter Michaela J. Terry of Warwick, Rhode Island; many kind nieces and nephews.

David was an avid chess and cribbage player.  He sang for some time in his local church choir.  He loved his scrabble matches with his friend and his CNA  Annette whom cared for him. 

David passed away peacefully at the La Grande Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center with family at his bedside.  A Graveside Service was held at Mt. Hope Cemetery with Military Honors on Thursday, March 14, 2024.  Online condolences may be shared at www.tamispinevalleyfuneralhome.com
