I consider myself fortunate to have met Dale Denson. His character epitomized the definition of "The Greatest Generation". Dale was always able to "take a minute" to help others even when he was very busy with his many endeavors. I am very sad at Dales' passing, I will miss him. I send my sincere condolences to his cherished wife Nancy and the Denson family.

I am a friend of Iris's two daughters, heather Craven and Denise Thornby. I travelled cross country in 1997 with them and we spent a night or two with their Uncle Dale on his ranch. He was amazing, taught my daughter to ride his horse; picked fresh lettuce and vegetables from his garden, and grilled us steaks. We sat under the stars and it is a wonderful memory I think of often. God bless, and peace to his family.

Dear Nancy, Whitney, Jeff, & Brad,
Dale just made me laugh. I remember the time I wanted to rent a space from him and the city of Menlo Park said no. I was in NYC when I got word from Dale that he had gone to a city meeting to fight for us and WON! I couldn't believe he went to so much trouble to help me start our business. He was there from the beginning cheering us on. I will never forget his kindness and good humor. I loved him. His spirit will be with me forever. He was one of my life heroes.
Love,
Chris and Steve

Truly saddened by the news of Dale's passing. We'd hoped, as did family and everyone else who new Dale, that he would pull through and past the struggle with cancer. He was a special person in so many ways and we are much better off having had some connection to him. Best wishes to his family.

A good man a good neighbor, will be missed. Thank you Dale for the positive influence you have been to my 4 sons who spent summers working for you. You taught good stewardship of the land, high work ethic, and integrity. May peace fill the hearts of those he leaves behind, until you meet again.

To Nancy and family: We are so sorry to hear about Dale's passing. Our friendship with Dale and your family goes back more than 50 years. I always enjoyed his counsel, friendly smile and lunches in Palo Alto. I learned so much from him. He will be missed. You all take care of yourselves during this time and we will be thinking of you.

Dale was one of those people whose presence would bring a smile your face. He reminded me so very much of my own dad whose graciousness and generosity towards others was inspiring. And like my own dad he fought a hard fight against pancreatic cancer. He was a true gift to our community here in Halfway. Whenever I would arrive at the the Lions booth or hall to serve at an event I was always delighted when Dale was scheduled too for I enjoyed working with him. He was delightful and fun to be around. He had an infectious smile! Many will never know just how our community benefitted from Dale's generosity, He will be sorely missed but remembered ever so fondly. Nancy had a treasure, as did Dale.

Nancy and family, we are thankful for Dale being in our life. One time he helped our son, Pippin, get from Stanford U. to the Chilian consulate in SF and of course ate shrimp adown by the bay. Dale, thanks for the unfailing support of the exhibit hall by bringing loads of entries and of the parade with horses. We wish Dale's family the best at this time of loss, Deborah and David Mader

Nancy and family, sorry to hear about Dales passing. He was a nice, kind man. In 1991, I moved from Halfway to Portland, Dale was kind and helped me to get into one of his apartments and gave me a job as asst.apt. manager. He made my life easier during a rough time. I am forever grateful
May you find peace during this time.

Dear Nancy, Brad,Jeff, and Whitney, It has been a long time since y'all and I left Palo Alto. We have ended up physically at each end of the country - yet the close feelings matured during our years in Palo Alto, have not deminished. Even recently I have had meaningful interaction with some of you. From afar I feel a personal loss. To Dale: For all the marvelous, wonderful, thoughtful, considerate things you did for me & my family every day - THANK YOU - You gave us a very spacial memorable time in Palo Alto, and at Dalton Realty. Thank you for being such a good friend.
