Cindy Jean Hale 1958-2025
Cindy Hale, 66, of La Grande, died on September 27, 2025 at her home surrounded by family.
Her first marriage: Cindy got married in Reno, Nevada to Charles Kamondy with the company of Cindy’s father George (Lucky) Chance. They went to a Bill Cosby Casino show for a celebration. Lucky tells Bill, that his daughter just got married and Bill Cosby congratulates them.
Cindy works as a motel cleaning employee in the Los Angelos area with her fist child Kristi, so they can pay rent at the motel while her husband works. Her son Charlie is born at the UCLA Medical Hospital. After giving birth, a medical assistant said to her that Charlie was going to be a football player. Cindy said she thought she was delivering a Buick!
Cindy’s second marriage is to Mike Elson in Sonoma County, California. She worked for an auto insurance agency, then studied to be an EMT for an ambulance service in Sebastopol, California. She was also the first female firefighter for the Sebastopol Fire Department which is amazing since she is a petite woman.
Cindy has a serious water-skiing accident at Lake Shasta, California and last worked for Rite Aid in Sebastopol. She has many friends there because of her outgoing personality.
Cindy moves to Union County, Oregon where her daughter Kristi Pierce lives in Cove, Oregon with her husband Jamie. Cindy works for Rite Aid and an auto dealership on the Island City strip.
Now the magic happens and she meets her third husband, Alan Hale, at Bud Jackson’s in Pool Leage. Who would know that a 20-year relationship would start at a pool game.
Cindy loved to go camping and fishing and maybe just going home where she like it best. She loved her dogs, First Brew (A yellow Lab) than Shadow (an incredible friend) and Sheba (a beautiful German Shephard). Cindy was always for her children and a great mother. She is a very strong lady and I want to be like her.
Love you bunches,
Cindy’s husband, Alan Hale
She was preceded in death by her parents Shirley and George Chance and brother Cliff Chance.
Cindy is survived by her husband Alan Hale of La Grande, Oregon; daughter Kristi (Jamie) Pierce of Baker City, Oregon; son Charlie (Jennifer) Kamondy of Cloverdale, California; grandchildren Roxi and Trent Pierce and Shelbi and Casyn Kamondy.
