Cassie B. Stockton
Cassandra Bethany Robinson was born in Jacksonville, Florida on May 20, 1970, to parents Ronald Clarke and Mary Lou Robinson, and sister Leslie Lee Robinson.
The family settled in a housing development just outside the small town of Towanda, Illinois. The girls had a wonderful rural-esque childhood and were involved in activities like 4-H, Girl
Scouts, and music lessons. The family enjoyed taking road trips all over the U.S. and Canada–particularly to visit relatives.
Cassie graduated from Normal Community High School in 1988. After receiving an Associate of Arts Degree, she moved to Oregon and attended PSU
and OSU. Her parents joined her in the Eugene-Springfield area after they retired in 1999. Cassie married Thomas Stockton and their son Walker James Stockton was born in 2004.
She was a longtime cheese steward at a local specialty store and she liked nothing better than making food for people to enjoy.
Cassie was endlessly curious about history and world events; she also loved music and relished a good time. Cassie, 52, passed away quietly April 20, 2023 at home on
hospice, due to complications of Type 1 Diabetes. She was much loved; and her ferocity, passion and humor will be missed. She will be buried in the family cemetery in Richland,
Oregon on Friday, June 2, 2023 - 2:00 p.m. along with her beloved dog, Carl (who passed away last year).
She is predeceased by her father, Ron Robinson.
Cassie is survived by her mother Mary Lou, sister Leslie, husband Tom and son Walker.
