Carl Bork, 54, of Baker City, died on October 27, 2024 at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.
Carl was born May 12, 1970. Ivan and Saundra Bork welcomed him into their family at 3 days old and the adventures began. Then in 1972 a sister was added to the trio, Crystal. Later in life Carl was blessed by finding his biological family consisting of his mother, father, several siblings and extended family.
He attended schools in Tygh Valley, Maupin and Ione, Oregon.
His early childhood was filled with camping, hunting/fishing and wood cutting trips with various family members and close family friends. He enjoyed playing school sports including baseball and football. Throughout his life he also enjoyed picking mushrooms and searching for antlers, watching sunrises and sunsets. Carl felt a connection with nature and being outdoors. He also had a way with always being the life of the party and instigating some kind of trouble whenever possible. Carl was the type to give you the shirt off his back whether he knew you or not if you needed something and he could help he would.
Carl worked a variety of jobs, experienced commercial fishing in Alaska right out of high school. He also logged, assisted with wildfire containment by hauling equipment and making fire breaks in Oregon, California and New Mexico, along with driving truck and other heavy equipment and fabrication professions.
Carl married three times, resulting in a total of 7 children, biological or not he loved and cared for them all. Steven, Stacey, Alyssa, Shaily, Trista, Dyson and Kyra. Carl wanted it known that he loved his sons in law, Cody Kester and Kyle Hamann as if they were his own.
Carl has found a place in several hearts over the years and will be missed.
