Bethany Garrison Obituary

Bethany Garrison, 93, of Richland, died on Saturday, February 24, 2024 surrounded by the love of her family.  A Celebration of Bethany's Life was held on Monday, February 26, 2024. at the New Bridge Grange in New Bridge, Oregon.

Bethany was born and raised in Texas, surrounded by the love of caring parents and many siblings. She developed strong morals and a work ethic that was second to none. Bethany exemplified the holy spirit in everything she did, every single day. She knew the importance of being honest, kind, and loyal in every aspect of her life; and that’s how she lived.

She loved the Lord more than anything else, and would tell anyone that listened that the good Lord will see us through, no matter what. She knew that God is wonderful, and told people about Him whenever she could.

She had the most beautiful heart and soul. She showered everyone she met with the type of unconditional love that most people only give to their immediate family and close friends. She refused to accept a handshake when meeting a new friend (she never considered anyone a stranger, just a friend she hadn’t met yet). She handed out smiles and hugs everywhere she went. She showed everyone around her that it was okay to live a life of joy and happiness, even if there may have been reason to feel worry and stress. She believed that you should always show kindness to others, as you never know what kind of day they may have been having— maybe you were the person that God put in their path to brighten their day with a smile and warm greeting.

She was preceded in death by her son William Beasley; daughter Sharon Spence; son Eddie Beasley and husband Jay L. Garrison.

Bethany is survived by her daughter Susan Cooke of Richland; son Monte Beasley;21 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren
