Angela Cookson, 45, of Baker City, died on February 6, 2020 at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho with her family at her side.
Angela was born on July 19, 1974 in Salem, Oregon. She is the daughter of Harvey and Meschelle Cookson. Angela was the youngest of four children: Scott; Julie; and Timothy. Angela was known by all of her friends and family as “Boo”, a nickname lovingly given to her by her youngest brother. This nickname followed her through her school years and into adulthood.
Angela was a “free spirit” who cherished her independence. She loved to plant flowers and vegetables, which always grew the largest. Angela treasured her home and was always on the lookout for lovely home furnishings and decorations. Angela was an excellent cook and was always trying new and delicious recipes. She was a magnet for all stray animals from the neighborhood. They knew she would feed them and keep them safe. Angela had a kind and generous soul and loved her family deeply.
Angela has one daughter, Desiree Rose Suitter and two young grandsons, Hakon and Odin. Angela has numerous nieces and nephews in addition to her many friends and acquaintances.
As with all “true free spirits” – they shed their earthly trappings and leave us all far too soon. She was deeply loved, will be missed, and never forgotten.
For those who would like to make a memorial donation in memory of Angela, the family suggests Best Friends (Animal Rescue and Care) through Tami's Pine Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Services PO Box 543 Halfway, Oregon 97834. Online condolences may be shared at www.tamispinevalleyfuneralhome.com
