Derwin “Andy” Anderson, 77, of Baker City, died Dec. 10, 2018, at Boise. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019 - Mt. Hope Cemetery in Baker City, Oregon. Friends are invited to join the family at 2:00 p.m. for a reception to be held at the Eagles Club 2935 H Street.
Andy was born on Oct. 20, 1941, at Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Vale High School in Oregon in 1959.
He married Waynette Lang, and they had three children.
He later married Launi Snider. They were married for 48 years and had two children.
Andy served in the Air Force for eight years. He worked as a car salesman and also owned a blind-cleaning business. For the past 10 years he drove a school bus for the Baker 5J School District.
Andy enjoyed dancing, cribbage, gold panning, camping and visiting with his grandkids. He was a member of the Eagles, VFW and the Elks.
Andy is survived by his wife, Launi Anderson of Baker City; his children, Donald (Colleen) Anderson of Boise, Tammy (Scott) Lamb of Colorado, David (Kristy) Anderson of Gooding, Idaho, Jeffrie (Wendy) Anderson of Mount Vernon, Washington, and Becky Haertel of Salt Lake City; his brother, Ron (Sharon) Anderson of Baker City; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
