Aleta Combes

Aleta Combes, 72, of Los Molinos CA, passed away on April 23rd 2022, in Baker City OR, with her son Sebastian by her side.

Aleta was born on February 18th 1950 in San Francisco CA. After she graduated from high school she spent a month backpacking through Europe. As a young woman she moved to Red Bluff CA, where she had her own hair salon business, and gave birth to her two sons. She spent the majority of her life living in different areas of Northern California. In the 1990s she left the valleys for the mountains, and moved to Yosemite National Park and then on to Lake Tahoe where she resided for 20yrs.

The last 5 weeks of Aleta’s life were spent in Baker City OR with her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. Her first week in Baker was full of well spent family time, from playing with her grandson at the park, family game night, watching her grandson play in his basketball game that her son and daughter-in-law coached, family ski day at Anthony Lakes Ski Area, driving through the beautiful Baker Valley to enjoy the scenery, to visiting and sharing a meal with her ex-husband and his wife.

Aleta is survived by her two sons and their spouses; Sebastian and April Combes of Baker City OR, Justin and Jannell Shannon of Los Molinos CA.
