Al Iverson, 81, of Halfway, Oregon passed away on Friday evening, September 5, 2025. Per his request there will not be a service.
Al was born in Murray, Utah to Gertrude and Boyd Iverson on May 21, 1944. He was raised in Ogden, Utah, where he married and raised two children.
He moved to Halfway in 1999 after his wife had passed. He lived on Dry Creek Road with is partner Kathleen Revell. Kathleen died in 2003.
Al was a member of the Lions Club, the Panhandle Snowmobile Club and a ski instructor at Anthony Lakes.
He worked for the U.S. Forest Service and later at Old Pine Market.
On August 21, 2021 Al married Vickey Blair. During this time, Al loved the family life. Some of his favorite things to do were raising birds and spending time sledding down the hills with his grandchildren.
Winter was his favorite time of year. He loved the snow and he loved teaching kids to ski. Al will be missed by many.
He is survived by his sister Trudy, ex-wife Vickey Blair; four step children; 9 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
