Adak - Dec 7 2012 - Dec 8 2025
Adak was born Dec 7 2012 in Hinkley Minnesota. He was shipped to me at the age of 9 weeks old.
Adak was the toughest doggo I ever knew. He would never quit. He was the most driven and talented retriever. He lived to retrieve anything. Adak was an athlete.
Adak loved to go on horseback trail rides with us and swim in every mountain lake we reached. He had swam in many lakes including Kilamacue lake and Rock Creek lakes in the Elkhorn Mountains. Eagle lake, Cache lake, Bear lake, Culver lake and Lookingglass lake, twice, in the Eagle Cap Wilderness.
Adak still had the drive to retrieve anything even when he was so arthritic he struggled to stand. As long as you rolled the ball, he'd give it his all. He always strived to please and never wanted to do wrong. You could see it in his face.
Adak was unbelievably loyal, intelligent, and full of personality. He was the greatest puppy a human could ask for.
We made the difficult decision to say goodbye to Adak on Dec 8 2025. After a very rough 13th birthday, struggling to stay on his feet. He will be so greatly missed by many. Adak touched the hearts of everybody he met.
