Scott Taylor Obituary

Scott Taylor, 69, of Wallowa, died on November 14, 2019 at Wallowa Memorial Hospital in Enterprise, Oregon. Memorial services for Scott will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Enterprise Cemetery, officiated by John Fitzpatric with full military honors. A luncheon will be held following the service at 12:00 noon, at the VFW Hall in Enterprise and all are welcome to attend.

Scott Elliot Taylor was born on February 2, 1950 in Detroit Michigan. He was the oldest of three children born to Robert and Doris Taylor.  Scott grew up in the Detroit area where he attended grade school and graduated from Redford Union High School.Scott joined the Air Force following his high school graduation and made it his lifetime career. Scott went through the ranks and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. Following his retirement from Edwards Air-force Base in California, he and his wife, Judith moved to Wallowa, Oregon. While living in Wallowa, Scott was a deputy for the Wallowa County Sheriff ’s Department in Enterprise Oregon and served as a school resource officer for Wallowa County School District. Scott volunteered for a Christain Retreat called “Walk with Christ’’ four times a year where he worked in the kitchen as an all-round worker. Scott was a “jack of all trades and a master of none” and did whatever jobs needed doing in his home of Wallowa. Scott passed away on November 14, 2019 following a battle with cancer due to contact with Agent Orange during his time of service in Vietnam.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Doris Taylor and one sister Sally.

He is survived by his wife Judith (Wallowa, OR), his sister Jill McCall (Prescott, AZ) and son Zachary Taylor (Hampton, VA) from a previous marriage. Online condolences may be shared at www.tamispinevalleyfuneralhome.com
