Roger Danny Gover

Roger Danny Gover, 77, of Halfway, Oregon died on May 16, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Baker City, Oregon.

Roger Danny Gover was born on August 3, 1940 in Baker, Oregon to Roger and Mary Christina (Crook) Gover. He was raised and educated in Halfway and graduated from Halfway High School. Following school, Danny enlisted and served in the U.S. Army.

He married Patricia Duncan and they had two boys Lonnie and Marty. They made their home in Halfway, later moving to Richland where they ranched. Following the divorce, Danny moved to Salem and became a cement finisher and did so for 29 years until retirement in Seattle. He met Betty Cook and they would spend the next 33 years together. They moved to Halfway, Oregon in 2000.

Danny enjoyed fishing, most especially in Fish Lake or on Pine Creek and working on his model A. He loved to putter and tear things up, but his intentions were always honorable.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Becky Hansen, longtime companion Betty Cook.

Danny is survived by his sons Lonny Gover of Alaska, Marty Gover and girlfriend Dawn of Bothell, Washington; sister Deania and her husband Jim Corrigan of Halfway, Oregon; brother in law Dee Hansen of Baker City, Oregon;  numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
