Marcus Alejandro Brown, 15, of Richland, Oregon, formerly of Portland, died Monday, August 13, 2018 at his home in Richland. A Celebration of life will be held at Eagle Fern Park in Eagle Creek, Oregon, Saturday August 25th at 2pm by the volleyball court and horse shoes. We would love for all family and friends to attend and help us share the good times and great memories of Marcus. We are asking it to be a potluck style so please bring a dish and your drinks, meat will be provided, also please bring a chair to be comfortable.
Marcus was born to parents Alex Flores and Desiree Brown on September 11, 2002 in Portland, Oregon. He lived in Estacada, Portland, and Richland, Oregon. Marcus attended school at Centennial Park in Portland and Pine Eagle Charter School in Halfway, Oregon.
Marcus was raised on country music which he continued to love as a teenager. He especially enjoyed spending time at his grandma Lucille's farm in Richland where he tended to ranch chores and down home country living. He liked to play basketball, whittle wood and to watch romance movies or cartoons with his sisters. His favorite television show was Supernatural and he always looked forward to watching it with his grandmother Roxanna. His favorite color was blue and he had fun playing his old record player.
Marcus had a natural talent when it came to cooking. His specialties included baking cookies, making egg sandwiches or eggs with bacon bits mixed in, french toast and anything with cheese. His little sister Lilly, age 7, said that the cookies he made were awesome! He will be remembered as a boy with a huge heart. He cared so much for other people.
He was preceeded in death by his grandmother Maria Cauich and great grandmother Margret Allen; uncles Brian Little and Paul Ortiz; cousins Teagan Henderson, Jeremy Thompson and little Rodney.
Marcus is survived by his mother Desiree Brown and step father Rey Sierra; father Alex Flores; sisters Jasmine and Liliana Brown; grandparents Lucille and Roger Burk, Roxanna and Dennis Brown, Carlos Flores; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
