(Turn onto Gover Lane from Main Street by the bank in Halfway and stay on Gover Lane to the end.) Friends are invited to join the family for a reception which will be held immediately following.
Marcia “Magna” Marie Gover was born on April 19, 1954 in Baker City, Oregon. She spent a few of her early years attending school in Baker, and was raised in Richland, Oregon for the rest of her childhood. The family enjoyed living off the land, processing food, helping neighbors and loving life. Marcia graduated from Pine Eagle High School in 1972 and soon after was married to George Gover, when they spent years riding and ranching around Eastern Oregon. They were eventually blessed with their son, Stacy, and beautiful twin daughters, Holly and Joey. Family life integrated with ranch life was second nature for Marcia, as she was happiest when in her element with her people. Marcia loved to be outside in God’s country, whether she was in her flower gardens, working cattle, hunting, or riding her horse in the mountains. Marcia tried to live her life by example: dedicated to hard work, loving her people, and was never afraid to tell you how she felt. She always had high expectations of those around her, especially to follow the Ranch Rules, the first and foremost being IF YOU OPEN A GATE, YOU BETTER SHUT IT! She has touched many lives with her wisdom and compassion.
Marcia is survived in death by husband of 47 years, George Gover of Halfway, Oregon; children, Stacy and Morgan Gover of Halfway, Oregon; Holly and Dusty Gallimore of Notus, Idaho; Joey and Ryan Davis of Middleton, Idaho; grandchildren, Cooper and Trace Gover, Aubrey, Brock, Emma, and Rainey Gallimore, and Sam and Baby Davis; brothers, Dwight Saunders of Richland, Oregon and Dan Saunders of Los Angeles, California.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Jane Marie Saunders, and her grandparents, Merritt and Eva Saunders, and Gover and Ruth Allen.
