Lillian Lowe, 97, died on August 9, 2019 at her home in Halfway, Oregon with her daughter at her side. A private family gathering will be held in her memory at a later date
Lillian Mabel was born on October 17, 1921 in Brogan, Oregon. She was raised and educated in Brogan. Lillian quit school early to take care of her ailing father.
She married Maxwell Miner in 1939, they had two children Lolah and Karen and later divorced. In 1953 she married Pete Lowe.
Being born during the depression and also in knowing the value of taking care of the home, her favorite things to do, hobbies if you will, were cleaning house, washing and ironing. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Lillian loved to sing old songs and dance. She enjoyed taking care of her yard and collecting FROGS!!! Yes, frogs for the yard, house, stuffed, ceramic..hundreds of them.
A favorite poem of hers was entitled “Beach head” which was written by her brother Glen during WWII.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; brothers Glenn and Floyd Parrott; and stepson Kenneth Lowe.
Lillian is survived by her daughters Lolah Yoshikawa and Karen Brandt; step sons Daniel Lowe and David Lowe and his wife Linda; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and very special friends.
