John Weir

John Weir, 90, of Richland, Oregon died at his home in Green Valley, Arizona
on May 15, 2018. A Graveside  Service will be held on Saturday, June 23,
2018 - 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Valley Cemetery in Richland, Oregon. Friends
are invited to join the family for a potluck reception to be held
immediately following at the Eagle Valley Grange (located at the ol'
Richland Elementary School, corner of Moody Road and Main Street)

John Marshall was born on February 11, 1928 in Baker, Oregon to Virgil and
Edith Pearl (Colburn) Weir. The first six years of his life, the family lived in Sparta, Oregon.
He attended elementary school at Pleasant Ridge and Sunnyside School. His high school years were at Eagle Valley High School graduating in 1946. John's most memorable date in his life was June 8, 1949 when he married Donna Blank in Richland, Oregon.

John and Donna  made their home in Richland, Oregon and raised their four children. During John's life he worked for Pine Eagle Dairymen, Morrison Knudson on the Brownlee
Dam, Pine Eagle Farmers Co-op when Dairymen changed to Farm Supply. John
was a member of Eagle Valley Grange for over 50 years and served as Grange
Master for many years.

John enjoyed camping and fishing. In 1999, he and Donna began wintering in
Quartzide, Arizona. In 2010, they decided to live in Arizona full time and moved to
Green Valley, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Margaret Yoder in 2004;
brothers Virgil, Orville and Cecil; sisters Marjorie Miller and Winifred
Hoover.

John is survived by his wife of 69 years Donna; daughter Judith Ann Grantz and husband
Ron of Arizona; sons Neil Weir of Idaho, Jerry Weir and wife Sue of
Idaho; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters Lela Shold, Velma
Stewart, Mary Zagelow and Fern Marriot; numerous nieces and nephews.
