Joanie Gail McClaughry, 61, of Baker City, died on July 28, 2017 at the home of her niece in Union, Oregon.

Joanie McClaughry was a loving mother who loved her family. She was a sister to 10 other siblings and was termed a "identical mirror" twin as well. Joanie lived a beautiful life. She always loved going to the beach in her younger days in Newport Oregon, where she had originally moved from to eastern Oregon, where she and her daughter had moved in 1992. Joanie was always a loving caring person, she loved to work the Union County Life Stock Show and Haines Stampede during the 4th July dealing black jack like a professional black jack dealer....but one of Joanie's favorite times of the year was Halloween and Christmas. She would always make her own costumes being very creative, she definitely had a talent for that and Christmas every year she would make sure her nieces and nephews always had gifts to make them smile. Those who knew Joanie always knew she was a hard worker and had a good sense of humor. Even growing up her and her twin Jeanie would always have a trick up their sleeves, they were basically the double trouble twins. One thing Joanie's family will never forget is how much of a loving mother she was to her daughter Atheena McClaughry and how much she did for her family. She will surely be missed and loved. Her smile and laugh will always be in our hearts everywhere we go and she was definitely loved by many and will be missed by many....

She was preceded in death by her parents William Thomas McClaughry and Virginia Aue and her brother David McCaughry formally of North Powder, Oregon who passed in 1990.

Joanie is survived by 2 children Atheena McCaughry and Jonathon Paul McClaughry and 9 surviving siblings are Carol Sivley of Alabama, Jeanie McClaughry of Baker City, Oregon, Jeff McClaughry of North Powder, Oregon, Cyndi McClaughry of North Powder, Oregon, Kathleen McClaughry of Haines, Oregon, Patricia Culver of Mount Vernon, Oregon, Julie Flood of Hood River, Oregon, Jim Durham of Hood River, Oregon, Devaree Milhon of Queens Creek, Arizona; Also many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great great niece and nephew that she loved very much.
