James "Jim" Tarter Obituary

James “Jim” Tarter, 62, of Rocklin, California died on September 5, 2018 at his home. James was born on September 16, 1955 in Seattle, Washington.  He began school in Seattle, and later graduated from Medford High School.  A favorite sport was baseball, and he was a very good pitcher.   Jim continued his schooling at Rogue Community College where he majored in automotive engineering.

     His work history started at Orley Stove in Medford, Oregon.  Then to Henry Weinhard Distributing Company in Portland, Oregon .  Jim then moved to Rocklin, CA and worked at Dr Pepper Snapple Group for 15 years, his last day of work there was June 15, 2018.

     Jim enjoyed fishing, he would spend summers with his grandpa in Halfway. He also enjoyed taking things apart and then putting them back together.  Jim was a loving husband, devoted father, and we will be greatly missed by all.     

     He was preceded in death by his mother Marian Tarter.

     Jim is survived by his wife La Deane, his father Galen Tarter, brother Chuck Tarter;  sister Gale Tarter Smith; nephews Shane Tarter and William Grissom; two nieces Tina Meyer and Helene Norton; Seven great nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; step children Renita Warren (Terry), Charlana Brown (Jon), Glen Hughes (Cecilia) Glenita Timmerman. Grandchildren Danie’l Alverez, Charles and Jayden and Kylie Warren, Blake Hughes and Bryan Hughes, Anthony Timmerman and Travis Timmerman; great grandchild Zenovio.
