James Grant

James Kenneth Grant passed away on October 9, 2018 at Providence Hospital in Portland, Oregon due to complications following lung cancer. He was 74. A graveside service with Military Funeral Honors will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Richland, Oregon at the Eagle Valley Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception to be held immediately following the service at the Eagle Valley Grange (corner of Moody Road & Main Street) in Richland.

Jim was born on February 20, 1944 in Astoria, Oregon to his parents Kenny and Mary Grant. He attended Eastern Oregon College and served in the Armed Forces. He worked for the Forest Service leading youth groups on projects and training's. Jim enjoyed his time as a packer and hunting guide in Oregon and Montana. He then worked for Job Corps in Washington and Idaho for many years.

Jim is survived by his daughter Katie Greathouse and family, his daughter Erin Morrison and family; brothers Bob Grant and family, Joseph Grant and family; sister Mary Elizabeth Pirone and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike Grant.
