Ira “Dale’ Booth passed away peacefully on December 30, 2017 in Baker City, Oregon. Dale was born at Wetmore, Kansas to Edith and Harrison Booth. He was the 3rd of 4 children. When he was 18 he enlisted into the Navy and served on the USS Ross. He was an avid member of the American Legion, VFW and a member of the United Methodist Church.

Dale married Lora LaVerne Stowell in Senaca, Kansas on May 22, 1946. They moved to Payette, Idaho in 19*57 where they raised their two children, Beth and Ken. They were married for 71 years. Dale worked for Manser Ford and American Fine Foods and after retiring he worked part time for Blankenship Auto Parts until he was 78 years old.

Dale’s biggest joy was spending time with his family and Colleen’s family. He loved playing basketball and baseball with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed going fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Harrison, sister Dorothy Belmar, brothers Benny and Francis.

Dale is survived by his wife LaVerne, daughter Beth Ron) Yano, Ken (Colleen) Booth, Grandchildren Jason (Amanda) Yano, Travis Yano, Christine (Kyle) Lammers, Lora (Jason) Ray, Katie (Arthur) and 3 great grandchildren Jaxon, Wyatt and Karter, and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 at Riverside Cemetery in Payette, Idaho, Saturday, January 13, 2018.  For those who would like to make a memorial donation in memory of Dale, the family suggests the Halfway VFW Post #7847 through Tami's Pine Valley Funeral Home PO Box 543 Halfway, Oregon 97834.  On line condolences may be shared at www.tamispinevalleyfuneralhome.com
