Geraldine "Geri" Rogers Obituary

Geraldine “Geri” Rogers, 79, a longtime Baker City resident, died Sunday, November 11, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Baker City, Oregon.  A Memorial Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 2625 Hughes Lane in Baker City on Thursday, November 15, at 10:00 a.m.

Geri was born on February 17, 1939 and was raised in Baker City, Oregon.

She married Robert Rogers in 1961 in Baker City.  They had one son who they named Jeff.  Geri’s husband died when Jeff was only two years old and she raised him as a single mother. Jeff was the light of her life. Nothing was more important to Geri than being a devoted and loving mother to her son.

Geri Joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1985.  She has been a devoted member of the Church since that time.

Geri has loved all of her many friends who became her family until she passed away.  She loved spending time with her friends, including going shopping, doing genealogy and participating in church activities.  Other interests included embroidery, art, reading, and tending to her dogs.

Geri was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her son Jeff Rogers.
