Darlene Ayers, 79 died at her home in Richland, Oregon on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Due to Darlene’s wishes there will be no memorial service.
Darlene was born on April 11, 1939 in Colby, Kansas. She was raised and educated in Brighton Colorado.
Darlene Married Louis Ayers in Raton New Mexico, they had just celebrated 62 years together. They raised four daughters.
Darlene worked in agriculture in the early years. Later she worked at Fort Hill Lumber and then she worked at Spirit Mountain Casino. Darlene spent her adult life living in Oroville, WA, Dallas, OR. Upon retiring Darlene and Lou traveled between Quartzsite, AZ and Richland, OR. They finally settled in Richland, OR.
She was an expert quilter and loved to make beaded jewelry. She loved her two Yorkies, Peanut and Tavi.
Darlene is preceded in death by her daughter Cindi.
She is survived by her husband Louis Ayers; daughters Kathy (Ken) Barnett, Kris and Sheri. She had 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
