Coree Welch Obituary

Coree Lynn Welch, 2 ½ months old, died at her home in Baker City, Oregon on Sunday, November 11, 2018. A Traditional Funeral service will be held Friday, November 23, 2018~ 2p.m at the Presbyterian Church in Halfway, Oregon. Interment to follow the service at the Pine Haven Cemetery.

Coree was born on August 17, 2018 to Justin and Destinee' Welch on August 17, 2018 at St. Alphonsus hospital in Baker City, Oregon. She shared her sweet smile from the day we brought her home. Every morning, she would greet us with her smile, Coree made our family full.

She had the most beautiful blue eyes and the best baby talk. If you were having a bad day all you had to do was hold her and your day would become instantly better. You could NEVER hold her too much.

Her sister Holly was so happy to have a little sister. She would give her kisses and Coree would smile at her. Holly loved getting to hold her.

Coree got to go fishing once. She enjoyed watching daddy and sister catch fish while she and mommy sat on the bank. It was a lovely day and she loved being with her momma.

She got to go on many short road trips to Halfway, Richland, Sumpter, La Grande and North Powder. She attended her sister’s birthday and a Halloween party where she was the light of the night.

Coree’s last day on earth was very full. She spent the day with her grandma Lisa and her aunties. She even had a nice conversation with baby Michael, they were best friends. The same night she got to enjoy the company of her Welch Grandparents and was showing everyone her best smiles. The night ended with a family game night. She passed peacefully on her favorite side to nurse and her favorite place to be, in her momma’s arms. She touched the hearts of so many in her short life.

Rest in paradise our beloved Coree, we love you so much.

Coree’s spirit is kept alive through her parents Justin and Destinee' Welch, sister Holly; great grandma Eleanor Smead; great grandparents Sandra and Larry Brown; grandparents Shelley and Jerry Welch, Lisa Mann and Michael Kennon; Pappa Peter Rossman; many aunts, uncles and special friends that crossed her path in her devastatingly short life.

We are very blessed to know that she is being held in heaven by her great grandpa Ralph; gammy Margie Rossman; her uncles and so many more angels that left this earth. I’m praying that our furbaby “One eyed Willy” is checking on her for us like he used to with Holly.
